a chance to study and delve deeper together
In this ongoing class, convened by Rosanna Sheridan, commencing Wednesday 6 February 2019, we will look at a variety of books and videos to get a broad esoteric view into what consciousness is and how it can be heightened. We will start off with two main texts Higher Consciousness – Its Nature and Awakening by Pablo Sender – and A Study in Consciousness by Annie Besant. We will also supplement this by videos on such topics as current trends in neuro-psychology in relation to consciousness, TED talks, spiritual teachers (past and present) as well as other T.S. teachers.
Attendees will be encouraged to meditate regularly and to journal their insights from their meditation sessions as well as insights gained from each week’s class. They will also be encouraged to participate in class by presenting their insights.
About the Authors
Dr. Annie Besant (1847-1933) was a British socialist, theosophist, women's rights activist, writer, orator, and supporter of both Irish and Indian self-rule. She became the second International President of the T.S, wrote prolifically on esoteric teachings and was a highly regarded orator.
Dr. Pablo Sender (PhD microbiology). A longstanding member of the Theosophical Society, an international speaker and currently a resident teacher at the Krontona Institute of Theosophy in California.
