Inside the Secret Life of Fairies – Maggie Hamilton

About the Presentation

Where is the meeting-place of myth and the mystic? What deeper understanding lay beneath the explosion of fairy art and literature in the nineteenth century - a time which coincided with what is now described as the Golden Age of Children’s Literature? What towering figures lay behind the establishment of the Fairy Investigation Society in London early last century - what was the deeper spiritual purpose there? In this talk Maggie will share her own extensive research on these subjects and reveal what ancients the world over have always known – that the land holds our story – yours and mine, and when and why this occurs. Learn about the deep wisdom hidden in fairy tales. Explore how and why the fairy kingdom has an ecology all of its own. Find out about the power of ancient rocks and stones, and the connection of these beings to the quantum field.

About the Presenter

Raised wandering meadows and moors, amid England's rich fairy culture, writer and social researcher Maggie Hamilton is the author of a number of books, including What Men Don’t Talk About, What’s Happening To Our Boys and Girls, A Soft Place to Land and more, which have been published in Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Italy, China, Lithuania, Korea, the Arab States and Brazil. Maggie is an outspoken and public critic of the commercialisation of childhood, the sexualisation of boys and girls, and the pornification of our culture, and is the former founder and publisher of the Inspired Living mind, body, spirit imprint at Allen & Unwin, which she set up and ran, publishing over 75 spiritual books there. When Maggie’s not busy with her social research she takes herself off to deserts and sacred mountains, to temples and cathedrals, labyrinths and standing-stones, to those places that inspire and make the soul sing, where each time a new aspect of the sacred reveals itself.

Afternoon tea and snacks will be served. All welcome.  Donations greatly appreciated.
