THE QUAKERS THEN AND NOW
PRESENTATION
The talk will cover the origin of Quakers, the principles that guide their daily life and their concerns about and guidelines for dealing with some aspects of the modern world, especially the destruction of the environment.
PRESENTER
A teacher of English as a second language, Rae is what they call a Quaker by Convincement, that is not one brought up in the tradition, but having come across it at university. Then followed fifty years of attending meetings, during thirty of which she has held many positions, serving on numerous committees.
Visitors are very welcome. All classes are free but small donations are always appreciated to contribute towards the running costs of our center.
