The Age of the Asteraceae - Blavatsky, Turing, the Daisy ...and Me – Keith Howes
Presentation
Madame Blavatsky, co-founder of the Theosophical Society, and Alan Turing, ‘Father of the Computer’, visionaries both, saw the ‘ray’ flower or star flower from the family Asteraceae and its many relatives as a source of intricate wonder: simple yet complex; a vital link in the chain of consciousness and a ‘day’s eye’ into the source of harmonic enlightenment. Keith began studying the daisy/day’s eye family of flowering plants twenty years ago. Were Blavatsky and Turing right, and is a ‘common flower’ invaluable in our search for meaning?
