Brian Parry
By definition a Mahatma is a mystery. Over the years many Theosophists and all sorts of other folk have hoped to meet the One of their dreams or imagining. We will explore the content of our hopes and the barriers to their realisation. Perhaps, even, a little light may come our away.
Brian Parry has been a keen member of the Society since 1953 and lived at The Manor for the next six years. An Accountant by profession, a business career beckoned and he moved to Melbourne, staying for the next 50 years. During this period he held a number of senior management positions including Executive Director of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria for six years; President and Chief Executive of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade Board for 18 years; and Board President of the State Emergency Service of Victoria and The Victorian State Film Centre. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2004 and retired in 2005.
