Loving Kindness: The Buddhist philosophy of metta and its application in everyday life – Walter Mason

About the Presentation

In a time that seems to encourage anger, outrage and an inability to respect others, it can feel pointless to lead a way of life based above all on the concepts of love and kindness. Buddhism, however, has always stressed that the quality of loving kindness (known as Metta in Pali) is one essential for a life well lived and a world freed from hatred and enmity.

In this talk, lifelong Buddhist student Walter Mason discusses the idea of Metta, its foundation in Buddhist teaching and how we might practically and consciously incorporate more loving kindness into our lives.
