Practical Applications of KRISHNAMURTI'S WISDOM

About the Presentation

The Practical Applications of Krishnamurti's Teachings – Peter Thompson

1. This moment is the only time we ever have to live - What does Krishnamurti's “All Inclusive Attention” mean and involve in this moment?

2. With a mindfulness of this moment through a focus on the breath, which is always freshly now, we can see how thought is always habitually trying to take us away to the past or future which do not exist - they are only thoughts... we can see and learn the need to be fully grounded in this now moment’s “it is”

3. Krishnamurti says "awareness of inattention is attention" What is this attention? What is “full and complete Attention”? We shall look at practical ways this can be experienced eg. through the inherently dangerous activity of driving a car... We shall see that Krishnamurti's “all-inclusive, complete attention” equates with the “ten direction eyes” of Zen Practice and bringing forth that mind which abides nowhere.

4. Our only true security is the eternal Now of this moment. I shall explain how the giving of all-inclusive attention NOW can lead immediately to the experience of: NO - MIND, NO - SELF, NO - TIME, as described and referred to by both Krishnamurti and Zen Teachings.

5. How being fully with what is arising moment by moment without resistance is both true intimacy, “loving what is” and loving the world as an ever-changing manifestation of our TRUE SELF

6. How “The Pain Body” (E.Tolle) dissolves through awareness, attention, mindfulness in this now moment.

7. How Awareness is our timeless, formless, wordless, indestructible true nature and has the features of Sat, Chit, Anand - Beingness, Consciousness, Bliss. TAT TVAM ASI - You ARE That!
