About the TOS
The Theosophical Order of Service is an independent organisation founded by second President of the Theosophical Society, Annie Besant, in 1908 to provide a framework for creative, practical, and humanitarian action in a theosophical spirit. Its meetings are open to all. Its activities include social service, education, animal welfare, environmental concerns and the arts. Its motto is: "A union of those who love in the service of all that suffers."
